I’ve been publishing Charlotte on the Cheap, the area’s best source for living well on a budget, since 2009. Charlotte Pets will be home for pet-related content of all kinds, with a focus on Charlotte, North Carolina. Lists of veterinarians, a close look at dog bars and cat cafes, a list of adoptable pets and much more. As it gets going, I plan to feature some local pet owners, pet professionals and pets. My inspirations for Charlotte Pets are my two best friends and office-mates, Shaggy and Harlow. Shaggy is a 17-year-old schnoodle who loves walks on the beach, naps on the couch and cheese. He’s a retired security officer. Harlow is a 13-year-old mystery dog who was found, abandoned, in a nature preserve. He doesn’t like walks or the beach, but does like naps on the couch. He is widely known for stealing food at cookouts.
