Another way to help relieve the crowding in the shelter is to take a shelter dog on a staycation. Taking a dog home with you for a few days can help free a kennel for another dog, and it’s a welcome break for the pup too! Not to mention, it gives you a chance to get to know the dog in a more comfortable setting, if you’re thinking of adopting.
