Easter Bunny Pictures for Dogs — where to get your dog’s picture taken with the Bunny!

Get your dog’s picture taken with the Easter Bunny this year! In fact, you can, in some cases, bring your cat or other pet to get its picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Please bring your dog to these events only if they’re calm and comfortable around people, especially children and giant human-sized rabbits. (But read on for a virtual Easter Bunny picture, in case your dog is not down with the bunny.)

Here are a few places with dog-friendly Easter Bunnies. We focus on events in Charlotte, North Carolina, but we list several events that take place around the country.

Speaking of Easter, here are 10 great gifts for a dog Easter basket!

Virtual Pictures with the Easter Bunny

Suppose you can’t make it to an event, or your dog’s temperament is not conducive to sitting with a large, slightly ominous furry creature with hands? There’s still a way to get a picture of your dog with the Easter Bunny.

Take your dog’s picture with Google’s 3D Easter Bunny.

Search for “Easter Bunny” on Google Chrome on your smartphone. (Note: this might not work on all smartphones.) Near the top of the results, you should see this screen:

Click on “View in 3D.”

Give it a little time and move your phone around, and you should see the actual Easter Bunny in the room, in an AR experience. It will move around a little bit, and act Bunny-like.

Depending on where you point your phone, you can see different angles of the animal. Get close and it’s bigger.

Once you get the Bunny positioned, grab your kid, your dog, your cat, your partner, or whoever you’ve been sequestered with, and position them next to the Easter Bunny. The Bunny will move around a little bit, but it won’t hop away.

If your pet isn’t super-cooperative you might have to try this a few times, but don’t worry. The Easter Bunny will not run out of patience sigh with exasperation. Just keep trying!

Maybe you’ll get an outtake like my dog sniffing the Easter Bunny’s butt!
